About Mrs. Nichols...

Welcome to our Share Site!  My name is Alissa Nichols, First Grade Teacher at Riverview Elementary School in Munroe Falls, Ohio.  This school year will mark my completion of a decade of teaching!  I began my career in 2002 as a traveling Kindergarten teacher (Woodland to Echo Hills).  I taught Kindergarten for three years and then "graduated" to First Grade, where I have been teaching for the past seven years.  I love First Graders! 

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Mount Union College in 2002.  In 2006, I earned my Master's Degree in Reading Specialization from Kent State University.  I also earned my Reading Endorsement at that time.  I continue to engage in course work that deepens my understanding of teaching and learning. 

My family and I live in Stow.  We enjoy swimming, reading, the park, bike rides, walks around the neighborhood and doing just about anything together.  We also enjoy spending time with our extended families.
